Kate is a Tauranga based artist who has been honing her skills in oil painting for the past 20 years. From a young age, she has loved to create and experiment with different mediums.
A fascination with the human face started in early adolescence and has been a wonder she attempts to master ever since. Mostly she is discovering how the intricacies of symmetry, form and light play a critical role in how we process an image.
She has completed several personal portraits for clients and enjoys the challenge that comes from capturing not only a believable likeness but portraying a familiar personality.
